Welcome to the Hardeman County Imagination Library! Our mission is simple but powerful- to give every child the gift of books from birth to age five. By nurturing a love of reading early, we help children enter school ready to learn, setting the foundation for lifelong success.

How It Works

Children in Hardeman County can be enrolled in the program and then receive a carefully selected, age-appropriate book mailed directly to their home each month until their fifth birthday. These are at no cost to the child or parents. Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are encouraged to read these books aloud—because your involvement makes a difference! Early exposure to books and language during the critical “sponge years” (birth to age five) helps children absorb knowledge and develop essential skills for school and beyond.
